With tears in his eyes, he remembers his mother, his childhood, and the quiet magic of Christmas Eve—deep snow, biting cold, and a warmth found only indoors. He recalls how she baked sweet bread and pastries in the small oven of the stove, filling the room with the unfamiliar yet enchanting aromas of lemon, orange, and vanilla.

He would sit nearby, watching her through the small, misted window, absorbing every gesture, every moment.
